Why Over-night?
Not a really complicated question. There is a song called “Overnight” by CRASHDÏET. It’s an awesome song and I just fell in love with it when I heard it for the first time.
But that’s not exactly why I chose it at all. I really liked it’s meaning.
Pretty much of my life happened Overnight. I was born at night (okay, slight change in words, so what?), I started listening to good music over night, I met awesome people over night. And also this homepage somehow came to existance over night (see below, if you wanna read more bout that). So you see this name has a deep meaning for me. Not only that it’s a song written by one of my favourite bands, it also reflects some parts of my life, just as the song does. I sometimes get the impression I keep on changing ‘over night’. To the good or to the bad I love it. It’s never getting boring!

Over-night has a somehow new concept for me. Actually I never tried this kind of homepage but I really wanted to take a challenge. Of course I won’t quit posting graphics such as layouts, icons and stuff like that. I hope to continue reviewing other pages as well, as I did with the former homepage. But there will also be some new things around here. At least for those who know Hypocrisy as my old homepage. I will start posting interviews with bands, concert reports and also interviews with some people and friends of the graphic scene, such as latest updates in the scene for hobby graphicers to read. There will always be some personal stuff as well, I really can’t keep quiet about the stuff that happens to me (; I hope I will get this all worked out!

Anything else you want people to know about Over-night before going on?
Kinda… yes! This is a private page, sweethearts. I’m free to post whenever I want and what I want, so don’t try to force me to do anything. I can let this site rot as long as I want (which will hopefully not happen, but to make that clear). So just please. Be patient and enjoy the stuff that’s is up and do not wait too passionated for that, that will come!

Author’s comment: Something light, happy again. I got the idea when trying out how a special kind of vexel might look. Actually it’s not a vexel at all. But I still like it, it’s really bright and colorful again, in contrast to the last layout =) I used a lot of brushes this time again, which I didn’t do the last few times. I’m going back to the roots, kinda. Because I started with overusing brushes and now I go on with it again. Nevertheless I like this layout and I hope I’ll manage to keep it online for some time ;)

History Time

Once upon a time…

Actually Over-Night has a quite boring history… An ‘my’ history isn’t the most interesting one as well. But well, people are used to learn something about that on every site, so I won’t break that unwritten rule.
I started webdesign, or well… let’s say in some way graphic design, somewhere around 2007 and 2008. It was just some toying around with Photoshop, that my uncle gave me because he saw that I loved to take photos and that I worked my ass off with handling them in other programms. I pulled Photoshop aside for about one year, because I didn’t know what to do with it at all, but later on I finally started to do some work with it. The first thing I did were layouts. I had some kind of a homepage together with a good friend then, I did the layout, she did the coding. I always looked up to her, because she was able to code and I was too lazy to read all those tutorials she gave me.
But then I decided to make my own homepage at Myblog. Good old times, when I just took layouts from others and changed some numbers and stuff, to make my own. That’s how everybody starts, right? That’s why I don’t give such a damn on people taking my codes and changing them, I just want a link for it!
I joined a small team at Myblog as well but I wanted to get rid of that Myblogshit soon because it was so annoying. I left the team about one month later and introduced my first homepage Hypocrisy. At first I was at (I guess) bplaced.net for hosting. But then I joined Desire-Gfx and I stayed there pretty long. It was a great time and we had a lot of fun, though we were arguing about certain stuff as well. Nevertheless I made friends with the girls and guys there and Vanny (one of the members) offered me to be hosted by her. I agreed and got the domain hypocrisy.little-vanny.de.
Because of some difficulties I left Desire-Gfx some months later and joined The-Peril. Hypocrisy suffered a lot from me being in there, because I turned all my attention towards the team as well. I stayed there about four to five months I guess, before I again left the team for some reasons that are private. When I was in the Perilteam I took part in a competition at Green-Mystery, where Jojo was giving a webspace + domain package to the winner and … what can I say? I finally won! ♥
Then I joined Shizoo. They have an awesome team but it wasn’t the right thing for me. Shortly after I left the team I decided to come up with my own teampage and together with Raphi High-Wire was born. Check it out! High-wire!
